Data Gaps and Dirty Skies
Global Disparities in Air Quality Monitoring
An investigation and overview of the inequality in air quality monitoring around the world. This team created a blog post with several maps comparing air quality with the available monitoring technology in certain regions of the world. They also used the Conyers, Georgia lab fire from 2024 as a case study and a way to ground concepts of global inequity in their local community. Lastly, the team explored how to build awareness and provide action steps around the issue by making a set of cards to be posted on social media.

Moving Skies, Warming Cities
How transportation shapes our world
An exploration of 4 cities, using images and first hand interviews with locals met at COP29 to demonstrate how lived experiences with their city’s transit portrays different realities with air quality. This project was created for Fall 2024's ENVS 326: Climate Change & Society Final Project, where students were tasked to communicate a research topic on air quality through creative yet effective media.

It's Getting Hot in Here...Literally!!!!
A story that follows an imaginary Georgia State University student named Victoria and uses her day to day life in the city as a vehicle to unpack and visualize more scientific topics in air quality. This project was created for Fall 2024's ENVS 326: Climate Change & Society Final Project, where students were tasked to communicate a research topic on air quality through creative yet effective media.
